Comment : Love the series Richard, even if it is grim. Did you know that
the difference in manufacturing cost between a chip fab in the
U.S. versus Asia can be solely attributed to subsidy and tax
breaks? We spent the last 2 decades wiping out manufacturing jobs
and hid it with loans to people who could not pay them back,
which drove construction employment. Meanwhile, a college
education was once a given and now few kids can afford it. Worse
our K-12 education system is a mess. We can fix these problems.
But we must address them. Keep up the good work!
